Third Annual Tailgate for Kids

We’re excited to announce the return of Tailgate for Kids, now entering its third year and proudly benefiting Girls Place, Inc.!

This high-energy community fundraiser brings together local businesses, families, University of Florida supporters, and community leaders for an unforgettable game-day experience featuring Gator Football on the big screen, incredible food and adult beverages from local vendors, tailgate games, auctions, entertainment, networking opportunities, and more.

Over the past two years, Tailgate for Kids has helped raise over $100,000 for local youth-focused nonprofits and initiatives throughout our community.

This year’s event will support Girls Place’s mission of empowering young girls through mentorship, education, athletics, leadership development, and life-enriching programming that helps build confidence and create brighter futures.

Your participation and support help create meaningful opportunities for children and families across Alachua County while continuing to grow one of Gainesville’s most impactful community events.

Why we do it (Last Year's Benefactor)

PEAK Literacy empowers children who struggle with reading to become confident, independent readers. We provide one-on-one, evidence-based reading instruction through trained community volunteers who are passionate about helping kids succeed. Students who commit to the program faithfully see an average of 1.2 years of fluency growth in just 12 weeks. By partnering with schools, families, and community organizations, we give students the support they need to catch up, keep up, and thrive!
